The Lean Design Blog: Two huge things IBS 2012 can do for you

January 3, 2012

Happy New Year! IBS 2012 is going to be great. Unlike recent years past there is a distinct feeling of optimism going into this event. A lot of builders are looking at this year as an opportunity for growth. If you haven't already considered using Lean as a platform for this growth - do. It will allow you to maximize profits and optimize the marketability of your homes.

1. Improve Your Plans

Professional Builder is hosting House Review Live with six different leading Architects and Designers (including yours truly) from across the country to help you review your existing plans and elevations. So bring your best plans, worst plans, any plans and I am sure we can help you improve them for 2012. Look for us at the Show Village demonstration homes Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. You can book time slots with the Architect of your choice at www.housingzone.com/housereviewlive. Book early so you do not miss out!

2. Increase Your Profits

The Master of Lean himself Scott Sedam and I are doing a presentation called Design Lean for Huge Profits on Wednesday morning from 10:00 to 11:30 in West 307C and D. We will be discussing ways to increase the marketability of your home designs and increase your profit margins. This will be an exciting and informative event - check it out.

I hope to see you all there. This show is sure to be one of the best the IBS has put together in a long time.
