“Boomerang Buyers” Will Make Up 10 Percent Of All U.S. Home Purchases

The Washington Post documents the journey of several “boomerang buyers,” homeowners who lost their homes to foreclosure or short sales during the housing bust and are reentering the housing market.

According to John Burns Real Estate Consulting, boomerang buyers are projected to make about 10 percent of all U.S. home purchases in 2014, with the Washington area being one of the regions to have among the highest levels of activity involving boomerang buyers.
