Why Presidential Candidates Aren't Talking About Housing

Terrorism, taxes, immigration, and gun control have been widely discussed by Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, but housing hasn’t gotten much attention. Clinton offers a very broad-based proposal on her website, while housing isn’t even a priority for Trump. According to a Fast Company article, Democrats and Republicans alike may be loath to add a costly new domestic housing program to the agenda during an election year, especially when a $503 billion national deficit is projected for 2017.
