Maryland, Connecticut Have Highest Share Of Distressed Home Sales In August

Nationwide, sales of distressed homes accounted for 7.3 percent of all sales in August, according to data provider CoreLogic. But the national figure glosses over big discrepancies among the states. The state with the highest share of distressed sales in August was Maryland, where they accounted for 19.1 percent of the total. Connecticut ranked second, with distressed homes accounting for 18.5 percent of total sales.
