Community banks’ new dynamic for mortgage loans

National Mortgage News reports that a Ginnie Mae-led pilot program in Chicago will test the waters for a shift in how smaller banks handle mortgage lending, allowing them to bypass the megabanks and potentially get better pricing for some home loans.
