Construction industry seeing number of female employees rise

While just 2.6 percent of the construction industry workforce is made up of women, industry experts are starting to see an increase in involvement and activism, according to Construction Dive.

The upswing is largely thanks to improved education for young girls on the benefits of careers in science, technology, engineering and math fields. The key, according to women currently employed in the construction industry, is to be proactive in seeking opportunities.
