Monterey County, Calif. moves to provide incentives for green construction
Monterey County, Calif. is poised to adopt an ordinance to amend the county building code to include “requirements and incentives for incorporating ‘green’ building principles and practices into new development in the unincorporated area” of the county. For new private development, the ordinance provides for rebates on permit fees for voluntary compliance with “green” building rating standards.
