Conroe, Texas, city council toughens ordinance aimed at unlicensed contractors

Improper documentation will cost unlicensed contractors $2,000 per incident

Conroe, Texas, city council members will tighten up a city ordinance to discourage unlicensed contractors from pursuing work in the city. An amended ordinance will apply to both residential and commercial permits and inspection fees. Contractors lacking proper documentation will be fined $2,000 per incident.
