Consumer optimism over home purchasing drops

Fannie Mae’s January Home Purchase Sentiment Index dropped 1.7% from December, spurred by static wages and rising home prices, according to Realtor.com.

Only 31% of the 1,000 surveyed said it was a good time to buy a home. Just 12%, 3% less than in December, said their household income was significantly higher than it was a year ago.
