Influenced by Airbnb, future home designs might include spare rooms for rental

Airbnb is designing spaces made specifically for homeowners who want to easily rent out spare rooms. Details are still sketchy, but could include physical accommodations such as "flex spaces" so people don’t have to give up their beds to have guests.

It might also include different kinds of built-in storage. Another concept could be whole apartment buildings designed to create a community for transient visitors. People could have separate spaces, but there would also be garden or dining spaces that promote conversation.
