The technology is there, but not the affordability

Wireless technologies have made home appliances connected and “smart.” But according to the Wall Street Journal, builders are only including the most basic of these innovations as standard features in homes they build.

“Offering 10 different solutions in one house would be costly,” Dan Bridleman, a senior vice president at builder KB Home, told WSJ. “Ultimately, you need one low-cost solution that integrates all of it.”
