To promote emergency preparedness in the workplace, the U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is teaming up with businesses across the country for Safe + Sound Week. Taking place from Aug. 11 to 17 this year, the Safe + Sound Week campaign emphasizes emergency response times and encourages every workplace to have a strong safety and health program in place. During the event, OSHA will provide resources to help businesses stay informed and develop and implement emergency response plans.

Any organization, regardless of size or industry, can take part in Safe + Sound Week to show their commitment to safety and improve their safety and health program. Last year, more than 5,000 businesses participated to raise awareness about worker safety and health.
