Ivory Innovations Launches Fieldworks Program to Further Affordable Housing Solutions
Ivory Innovations, a nonprofit academic center based at the University of Utah David Eccles School of Business, recently announced the launch of its Fieldworks program. With the goal of making affordable housing solutions a reality, the new initiative will allow housing professionals who are past the pilot stage to implement their solutions in Ivory Innovations’ affordable housing developments in Utah. In partnership with Ivory Homes, Utah’s largest home builder, the program will allow interested organizations to demonstrate their creative housing solutions in real-world settings. The current application window for the program closes on Aug. 22.
“We’ve learned from our experience running the Ivory Prize that even the most promising solutions in housing innovation can struggle to gain traction,” said Abby Ivory, President, Ivory Innovations. “Ivory Innovations Fieldworks is a first-of-its-kind program that enables innovators to overcome the early adoption barrier. By integrating solutions into our own housing developments and elevating them through our national network of builders, funders, and media partners, we help innovators prove their viability to the market.”
