Out-of-state contractors are heading to Louisiana to work on rebuilding after the recent devastating floods. Since Aug. 12, 43 out-of-state contractors have filed paperwork and paid hundreds of dollars in fees to the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors. About 200 more people have called or inquired about getting licensed. Nearly half of the out-of-state applicants came from neighboring Texas and Mississippi.
