PUReWall, a polyurethane-based panelized wall technology from Covestro, replaces traditional exterior sheathing with polyisocyanurate rigid foam board and uses a closed-cell spray polyurethane foam formulation for a highly structural, energy-efficient panel. Compared with conventional wall panels, PUReWall is up to 40 percent lighter and takes 75 percent less time to erect on site with 30 percent less waste, according to the manufacturer. The polyiso insulation board serves as an air and moisture barrier, eliminating the need for housewrap.
