Downlight | WAC Lighting

November 17, 2015
This article first appeared in the PB November 2015 issue of Pro Builder.

The new Aether downlight from WAC Lighting is suitable for shallow plenums. Its 3½-inch LED shallow housing allows it to fit into ceilings that have a thickness of ½ inch to 1½ inches, and for installation in ceilings between floors that have HVAC ducts and heating and water pipes. Aether operates with just 22.5 watts and produces up to 1,375 lumens, which is nearly twice as much as a MR16 halogen fixture. The luminaire is offered with a 25-degree narrow beam or 40-degree flood beam, and color temperatures range from 2,700K to 4,000K. It has a 70,000 hour life. Both round and square trim models are available.
