Dutch Architects ‘Printed’ a Prototype House with Giant 3-D Printer
In a bid to pave the way to sustainable, environmentally-friendly construction, Dutch architects are using 3-D printers to construct prototype houses.
Business Insider reports that DUS Architects of Amsterdam started construction of this home in 2014. The structure uses a plant oil-based plastic, which the builders say generates no waste, reduces transportation costs, and allows everything to be melted down and recycled.
