Retro styling rules, with everything from sundresses to martini glasses to furniture. Ann Sacks has brought the aesthetic to tile, with its recently released wall tile, Quilt.
Ann Sacks designer Erin Adams' design fuses layers of glass in a geometric design that resembles a quilted fabric. Each piece has subtle variations in shape and pattern, giving every tile a one-of-a-kind design.
"I am always inspired by glass and the idea of making glass look like something it isn't," says Adams. "I love the idea of color on color. The fused glass color layers add a soft texture to the tile."
The color choices - 36 in all - such as a layering of vibrant green and blue or simple black and white, add to the 60's mod look. Quilt is available at Ann Sacks showrooms and costs $130.63 per square foot.
