Architect Rem Koolhaas spoke out recently against the way technology is infiltrating buildings. Koolhaas said it is "totally astonishing" that people are willing to sacrifice their privacy for convenience and describing the rise of smart systems as "potentially sinister".
The Dutch architect said, “Before you know it, you are being surrounded by a house full of sensors that can follow you on the moment of entry, to the moment you set your bedroom temperature, to the moment you set your likely return to your house.”
