The U.S.’s H-2B visa program that allows employers to temporarily hire foreign workers may be enticing to construction companies during the current industry labor shortage, but this option only makes sense in certain situations, according to this article.

The process to hire foreign workers is cumbersome, expensive, and has a fairly long lead time. The program does not make sense for companies that only need a few workers.
