Low new-home sales in May, MBA index says
NAHB's Eye on Housing reports that applications for new home purchases decreased by a not seasonally adjusted monthly rate of 8.4 percent in May, based on a Builder Application Survey by the Mortgage Bankers Association. However, new home purchases in May 2014 were 4.9 percent higher than the level in May 2013.
