Once a renter, not always a renter

A discussion on housing policy often misses the point that renters can become homeowners and vice-versa, Robert Dietz writes for U.S. News. Using data from the Census Bureau 2012 American Community Survey, Dietz finds that the median age of homeowners are older than those of renters, and are usually married, thus having a higher income than most renters.
