US economy expected to expand for another 5 years

Recessions aren’t as predictable as the tick of a clock, Deutsche Bank’s Torsten Slok tells Business Insider, but there are reliable indicators.

“One way to quantify how long a time this expansion will continue is to look at the length of expansions and the level of the fed funds rate when expansion ended,” Slok tells BI. This means comparing the length of expansions and the fed funds rate level just before recession began.
