5 charts show how home prices have slowed down

Home prices aren’t rising as fast as they did a year ago, Wall Street Journal housing blogger Nick Timiraos reports.

Using data from the latest S&P/Case-Shiller index, Timiraos finds that home prices rose 6.2 percent in June from a year earlier. In five different charts, he examines what is causing the slowing, and tries to find out whether, when, and at what level year-over-year price changes will normalize.
