Higher home builder and homebuyer confidence shore up the housing market this fall

The National Mortgage News cites a Zacks report that says a combination of home buyer and home builder confidence will lead to a housing market pickup this fall.

The report’s August data shows housing starts surging 15.7 percent from the prior month, beating expectations and reaching an eight-month high. Another report from the August 2014 National Association of Home Builders/Wells Fargo housing market index indicated homebuilder confidence rose 2 points to 55, the highest level since January.
