NAHB's Eye on the Economy posts a roundup of home builder stats
Though the most recent government data say housing starts fell in August, the NAHB/Wells Fargo Housing Market Index (HMI) rose to a post recession high.NAHB reports that the pace of single-family starts for the months was effectively flat, falling 2.4 percent, but expected starts to strengthen through the end of this year and next. The HMI, a monthly measure of single-family builder market sentiment, increased four points to 59 in September, which is the highest reading of the post-recession period.Read more
