Home value loss and recovery vary by ethnic group

HousingWire shares a recent report by the Economic Policy Institute that shows the housing recovery hasn’t been equal across at least three categories – whites, blacks and Latinos.

The EPI used data from the Survey of Consumer Finances and shows that between 2010 and 2013, inflation-adjusted median home values fell by 4.6 percent for white housholds and 18.4 percent for black households, but increased by 3.7 percent for Latino households.
