Americans optimism for housing grows

Fannie Mae’s October 2014 National Housing Survey shows that Americans’ optimism about the housing market continues to gradually climb.

The strengthening outlook happens amid greater confidence in household income and personal finances. According to 45 percent of the respondents, they expect their personal financial situation to improve during the next 12 months – a share of respondents that is seven points higher compared to one year ago.
