According to the NAHB, many single-family builders are worried about the cost implications of the way building codes are evolving.
The NAHB’s survey found that especially codes associated with fire sprinklers and energy efficiency are what worry many builders, saying that they were concerned the codes are becoming too stringent and driving up costs without a measurable improvement in safety or other benefits.
