HousingWire reports that only a small percentage of people said they believe the housing market has already returned to normal, or will in the next 12 months.
This was based on a recent survey by Zillow that interviewed 107 experts, asking them to predict the path of the Zillow home value index into 2019. The largest share of respondents, 40 percent, believe it would take three to five years for the market to normalize, whereas 30 percent said they expected the market to stabilize one to two years from now, and just 20 percent said they believe the market either already has returned to normal, or will in the next 12 months.
