Home Construction Spending Increases Across the Board

An analysis of private residential construction spending from Census data by the NAHB finds that all three components of the sector increased in October.

Single-family spending increased 1.8 percent, multifamily spending increased 1.0 percent, and home improvement spending increased 0.6 percent from revised September estimates, the NAHB reports. Total spending for private residential construction with all three components combined is $353.8 billion.
