Accessibility Features Will Appear More in Real Estate Listings

The Real Estate Standards Organization is leading an effort to encourage listing services to include accessibility features in homes, the Los Angeles Times reports.

Data from the Census Bureau show that nearly 20 percent – 57 million people – have some kind of disability. Though not all are severely handicapped, about half are. The standards will ensure an easy-entry data field for agents to check off when listing houses for sale.
