Buyers Pay More for Houses With Solar Panels

A study led by the Department of Energy’s Berkeley Lab found homebuyers have no quarrel with paying premium prices for homes that are fitted with PV solar installations, PV Tech reported.

Premiums paid for properties fitted with a PV system with an average size of 3.4 kW is about $15,000 dollars. As many as 500,000 American homes have solar panel installations on them as of 2014 and the number is expected to increase.
