The NAR’s Data on Relationships and Homeownership

There are more single female home buyers than there are single males, according to data from the 2014 Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers and the 2013 Home Features Survey.

Married couples make up the largest share of homebuying activity, comprising 65 percent of all homebuyers, 54 percent of first-time buyers, and 70 percent of repeat buyers.
