Technology that Plugs into Light Sockets Is the New Smart Home Upgrade Idea

The magazine Fast Company Design talks about a new product that launched on Kickstarter, Beam, which screws into any lightbulb socket and acts as a projector to make a smartphone or tablet screen bigger.

“As a self-contained device, it seems destined for mediocrity, largely thanks to its dim 100 lumens lamp that makes a 40-watt lightbulb seem like the sun,” the magazine reviews. “But one design detail—the fact that it slots into a light socket—hints at a promising way of turning dumb homes smart.”
