Denver’s housing market is the hottest in the nation, and according to CNN Money, the legalization of marijuana has made a big impact on the city’s new high for home prices.
The S&P/Case-Shiller Home Price Index noted that Denver’s annual home price jump is at 10 percent, second only to San Francisco.
"The pot industry is creating jobs we didn't have before," Kelly Moye, a Re/Max real estate agent who has worked in the Denver area for 24 years, told CNN Money. "It's brand new, it adds a whole new factor to the area; you have real estate needs, housing needs, job needs."
