A New Role for Apple’s ‘Siri’ in Home Automation

Home automation is getting more streamlined for iPhone users. ABC News reports that “the first smart home gadgets that can be controlled by Apple’s voice-activated digital assistant are going on sale this week.”

Though many home automation systems can be controlled with a mobile phone, analysts argue that Apple could persuade even more buyers to plunge into the smart home market because of the possibility of controlling their home using a familiar method from a familiar device.
