Demand for ‘Walkability’ Continues to Grow

Companies are moving to urban core areas to attract more talent, and planners are putting in more bicycle and pedestrian paths. According to City Observatory, the demand for walkability won’t be waning anytime soon.

“America's decades-long love affair with cars, and especially with commuting from suburban to urban centers, has cooled off,” CBS News reports. Driving this demand is mostly younger workers who “want to save the time and money their parents previously spent on automobiles.”
