Builders Are Most Confident Since November 2005

The NAHB home-builder sentiment gauge rose to its highest level since November 2005, The Wall Street Journal reports.

Confidence rose one point to a seasonally adjusted level of 61 in August, reflecting what the Journal calls “growing confidence in a steadily improving U.S. housing market.”

The index has been positive for the past year after hovering in negative territory for five months in early 2014.
