An Interactive Map Reveals Commuter Patterns

Places like New York City can swell to up to double its population size during working hours, thanks to the commuting workers who flock there.

The Washington Post uses data from the American Community Survey, released last week, to produce an interactive map that shows where Americans go to work when they don’t work near home.
