Renters Will Buy When They’re Dissatisfied

Financial reasons aren’t the main driving force that influences renters to become buyers, Freddie Mac research finds. It’s more a matter of satisfaction.

“Renters who are most satisfied with their rental experience are more likely to continue renting (68 percent) than to purchase a home (32 percent),” the report says.

Around 67 percent of apartment renters report being satisfied, compared to 60 percent of single-family property renters.
