Solar-power system prices have fallen drastically over the last several years, down from $8 a watt in 2008 to today’s $4.43 per watt for a $27,000 six-kilowatt single-family home system.

The dilemma homeowners face now is whether to rent or buy when it comes to solar power, says MarketWatch. While many use either leases or power purchase agreements, solar loans may become more popular.
