Standard Pacific Stockholders to Vote Soon on Merger With Ryland

On Sept. 28, stockholders of home builder Standard Pacific will vote on whether or not to merge the company with Ryland Homes, The Orange County Register reports.

“If the plan passes, the merger will close soon afterward, and the newly combined company will begin operations under a new name: CalAtlantic Group,” the article says.

The new company will be the nation’s fourth biggest home builder, behind DR Horton, Lennar, and Pulte Group.
