Today’s Master Bath: Understated, Simple, and Sober

Realtor Magazine reports that many buyers today look for more affordable master bathrooms that conserve water and energy, and leave a lot of room for personal touches.

In fact, several bathroom designers and architects have noticed an increasing demand for smaller bathrooms, and the freed up square footage is given to other functions such as closets.

To better understand the more restrained trend in master bathrooms today, Realtor suggests eight points buyers and sellers should focus on to personalize their take on the trend: overall aesthetic, fixtures, cabinetry, faucets, surfaces (walls, floors, and countertops), color palettes and textures, lighting, and affordable extras.
