One of the major concerns with the Internet of Things is security. A report from Icontrol Networks found that 71 percent of consumers are afraid their personal information will get stolen when using smart home products. To combat this, IoT companies will enhance their security features in 2016.
That is just one of the predictions The Next Web made in its forecast of Iot and Smart Homes for next year.
Others include the idea that companies will market their products as household necessities, not nifty luxury items.
