Zillow analyzed data from the U.S. Bureau and found that people are moving south and west.
Florida was the most moved-to state between 2014 and 2015, and Texas, Washington, North Carolina, and Colorado were also trending locales. With folks heading to warm climates, states like New York, Illinois, and New Jersey were the top moved-from states.
In terms of cities, Denver, Seattle, and Portland, Oregon were the top destination metros, and New York City, Chicago, Washington, D.C. had the most people leave.
