Private Residential Construction Spending Remained Unchanged In May

According to NAHB analysis of Census Construction Spending data, total private residential construction spending was flat in May with a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $451.9 billion.

Spending on single-family dropped in April but was actually 6.3 percent higher than a year before.

Construction spending on home improvements rose 1.4 percent to an adjusted rate of $151.2 billion in May.
