Designing Smart Homes For Seniors

Smart houses are good fits for Millennials, people who grew up adapting to changing technology, but not quite as natural for the elderly.

Fast Co Design writes that Kevin Gaunt, a student at the Umeå Institute of Design’s Interaction Design in Sweden, envisioned a series of smart home bots that will aid seniors.

Gaunt's project has examples of three bots. One keeps track of the household budget, another one monitors neighborhood activity, and the last provides company by playing music, ordering cookies, and even cracking jokes.
