Utah Developer Creates Micro Apartment Community Concept

David Hall, a developer in Provo, Utah, says he will invest $250 million toward NewVistas, planned micro apartment complexes.

According to Realtor.com, the 200-square-foot, highly customizable rental apartments will be part of larger automobile-free communities. Hall was inspired by an 1833 housing plan conceived by Joseph Smith, the founder of the Mormon church.

The first NewVistas prototype is nearing completion, but construction on a larger scale project is still decades away.
