Iowa, Colorado, And Hawaii Among Leaders In Construction Employment Growth

The construction industry upped its employment over the last year.

According to NAHB Eye on Housing, the total number of workers in construction is up to 6.7 million nationwide, an increase of 3.13 percent annually.

The site reports that 36 states had positive year-over-year changes in construction employment last month. Iowa (18.68 percent), Hawaii (12.25 percent), and Colorado (11.31 percent) had the highest annual growth rates, while California (29,300), Florida (22,000), and Colorado (16,800) added the most jobs.
